Motorbike — Use Grab app for door-to-door rides and choose to pay by cash or GrabPay.

Taxa — The fare starts at 35 baht and stays there for the first 2 kilometers. Typical taxi fares for going a few kilometers are around 50 baht. Communication can be a problem with the majority of Bangkok's taxi drivers as they often speak little English. Improvise, and be imaginative.

Tuk Tuk — Most Bangkok tuk-tuks will start charging at about 40-50 bath for a short ride, but expect this to be a little higher in really touristy areas.

Sukumvit — One of Bangkok’s most modern and cosmopolitan neighborhoods, is located in the central part of Bangkok along Sukhumvit Road.

Talad Noi (Between Bang Rak and Chinatown) — Talad Noi is a historic neighbourhood located in the heart of Bangkok, just next to Chinatown. It is worth mentioning that ‘Talad Noi’ means ‘small market’, but despite the name, there is no real market in this area. It’s a maze of narrow lanes lined with old houses, fancy coffee shops, and mechanic workshops packed to the ceiling with greasy engine parts.

Sathorn — Sathorn itself is the financial district which loosely forms one edge of Silom. 

Charoenkrung (A part of Sathorn) — Art is alive and kicking in Charoenkrung, and you can appreciate both commercial and indie art at the many galleries here.

Bangkok Old Town (Also named Rattanakosin Island) — The Old City district in Bangkok is home to a glittering array of temples, palaces and ancient architecture, representing the cultural and historical centre of the city. For anyone interested in the history and origins of this bustling city, a visit to the wide, tree-lined avenues of the Old City is a must.

Riverside — Bangkok’s riverside is beautiful and very scenic, especially after dark, with its glittering temples, shrines, and Bangkok’s most popular attraction, the Royal Palace.

Chinatown — Bangkok’s best area for street food and exploring Bangkok’s historic roots.

Pratunam — It is full of small local shops, Thai shopping centers and authentic markets where you can negotiate the price. Pratunam is most famous for its Pratunam market, the largest clothes market in Bangkok.

Ari — Ari is one of Bangkok's hippest neighbourhoods, full of cafes, restaurants and bars. It's a neighbourhood that's popular with middle-class Thais and expats.

Khao San — Khao San is the most famous street in Bangkok, and anyone backpacking through SE Asia will come through here at one time or another.
